Unified Student Government Association prides itself in being the voice of the students and striving to connect the many unique groups of people within the Loyola community. After serving my first term on USGA this past year, I have learned a tremendous amount about the function of our university and how each and every day there is something we can work to make better. I was a member of the Academic Affairs committee and was able to learn about many resources this wonderful university possesses that students are unfamiliar or unaware of. As a committee, we worked tirelessly to create a Syllabus Proposal to have course syllabi posted online for our convenience when deciding which courses to enroll in. The University overwhelmingly supported this initiative and now we are seeing results as we near the end of spring semester 2014. I hope to continue the hard work USGA has put in this year and use my personal experience to help others make the most out of their Loyola experience. Whether it is helping to bring a new major or minor to the curriculum or helping to maintain transparency between our administrators, faculty, and students, I will strive to cater to the diverse needs of the Loyola community. If elected to this position, I will continue to provide opportunities to help students get involved and voice their ideas and opinions. Through our combined efforts, we can continue to create a strong and bright future for Loyola University Chicago.
