Ramiro Jiménez Jr, is an academic advisor for the College of Arts & Sciences. Jiménez Jr.'s parents immigrated from Mexico (Guadalajara) approximately 25 years ago, so that he and his siblings could have better educational opportunities. He completed his MS at Purdue University, where he studied sociology with a special focus on education & inequality. Mentorship and racial representation is one key aspect to the success of underrepresented students, and he strives to fulfill these roles as an academic advisor.
