Learning Objectives & Goals

As an internship site, it is important to know what is required to have a student for a semester long internship. This Employer Handbook 2022-2023 will help guide you as an internship site to gain an understanding of having a student as an intern. The handbook includes all the appropriate Learning Agreements to be filled out at the beginning of the semester. 

There is a need f​or internships to be organized and processed in a way that facilitates learning.  Additionally, it is critical that the experience (both in the classroom and out of the classroom) stimulates student development. All interns during the first few weeks of the semester, should develop learning objectives for which they would like to achieve throughout the semester. It is beneficial for students to be in commuication with their Site Supervisor as they develop these goals and objectives.
