Responsible stewardship of the Earth's natural resources is vital to educating the next generation of responsible leaders. It is also Loyola's intent to bring what we learn about energy, water, transportation, food and waste to the broader community and the City of Chicago through outreach and educational opportunities.
- Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP)
- The six north side communities of Rogers Park, Edgewater, West Ridge, Andersonville, Uptown and Ravenswood come together each April to offer a free one-day conference about environmental understanding and action called North Lake Shore Community Earth Day.
- The University Sustainability Initiative seeks to make Loyola a "green" campus by reducing waste, building energy efficient buildings and educating students and neighbors about environmentally responsible choices.
