Ignatian Spirituality Summer Book Club

This June, Ignatian Spirituality will be hosting a summer book club featuring "The Jesuit Guide to Almost Everything" by James Martin, S.J. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Participants receive a free copy of the book as well as lunch.

Technology—especially AI—is never neutral. It reflects the values of those who design, fund, and deploy it. The central question, then, is not whether we should embrace or reject technology, but whether a particular use serves human dignity or diminishes it. This gathering will explore several key implications of the encyclical and consider what they mean for the development and use of emerging technologies.

THIS EVENT WILL FEATURE a conversation between President Mark C. Reed and Fr. James Martin, S.J., bestselling author and Jesuit priest, inspired by Fr. Martin's new book, "Work in Progress." The discussion will explore themes of faith, vocation, and service, including how they intersect with our work, relationships, and sense of purpose. The event will include an opportunity for attendees to purchase and have copies of the book signed. The event is free, but registration is required.
