THIS EVENT WILL FEATURE a conversation between President Mark C. Reed and Fr. James Martin, S.J., bestselling author and Jesuit priest, inspired by Fr. Martin's new book, "Work in Progress." The discussion will explore themes of faith, vocation, and service, including how they intersect with our work, relationships, and sense of purpose. The event will include an opportunity for attendees to purchase and have copies of the book signed. The event is free, but registration is required.

Reflections on AI and Magnifica Humanitas

Technology—especially AI—is never neutral. It reflects the values of those who design, fund, and deploy it. The central question, then, is not whether we should embrace or reject technology, but whether a particular use serves human dignity or diminishes it. This gathering will explore several key implications of the encyclical and consider what they mean for the development and use of emerging technologies.

Saturday of Service

Join us August 22nd from 9:30am-2:00pm for our annual Saturday of Service.

Every year on the Saturday before classes begin, new Ramblers join CSA student leaders and volunteers to serve the neighborhood by gardening, painting, cleaning, and helping out! This is the perfect way to live out Loyola's mission and be a person for and with others before you even begin classes.
