  4. Official Transcripts

Applicants must submit official transcripts from all institutions including an approved/accredited nursing program. Electronic official transcript submission is encouraged as it saves time! If you have completed undergraduate or graduate work in a country outside the United States, you must have your transcripts evaluated by any NACES member companies and request a Catalog Match Evaluation Report be sent to Loyola. The evaluation is not an English translation of the transcripts, but a separate document completed by an evaluation service which shows that the degree you’ve received or are pursuing outside the U.S. is equivalent to a U.S. associate degree in nursing.

We accept evaluations from any NACES member companies including:

*Please note: In addition to the transcript evaluation, you will be required to submit official copies of your transcripts as well. You have the option of requesting that your schools send them to either gradapp@luc.edu or our mailing address, noted above, but it may be more convenient for you to request the evaluation company to send the transcript along with your transcript evaluation. Transcripts received from the evaluation company are considered official.

Applicants who have taken significant course work outside the U.S., or have obtained an undergraduate degree where the primary language of Instruction is not English, will be required to prove English proficiency. This can be demonstrated by TOEFL scores-minimum 80 composite with minimum sub score of 18 for all components (writing, speaking, listening, and reading).

An official TOEFL, IELTS or PTE score report is required for international applicants. Copies of scores are not accepted as official documents; we must receive test scores directly from the testing service. As minimum requirements vary based on the program, please refer to your program’s English Language requirement.

This requirement is automatically waived for applicants meeting one of the following qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • U.S. bachelor’s degree in progress or conferred
  • U.S. master’s degree conferred
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree conferred by an institution in the following English speaking countries: United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or Australia
