Mike Alsip

Throughout his multi-decade career, Mike has been a leader in designing, developing, and delivering technology solutions to business problems. With a passion for software development, his depth of experience and skills have led him to focus on business-critical systems, including real-time claim processing platforms, high-volume market data, and complex enterprise system integrations.
His skill set includes a broad technology background, strategic business understanding, investment acumen, and interpersonal skills that support the development of technology solutions driving growth and profitability. More recently, his work has focused on solutions that directly benefit consumers. He led efforts to integrate and analyze patient medical and pharmacy data to deliver health recommendations aimed at improving consumer health and reducing costs through a multi-channel communication strategy. He also led the development of a cloud-based service that identified drug cost savings for more than 7 million consumers.
In addition, Mike has played significant roles in large-scale integrations resulting from mergers and acquisitions, including the Walgreens PBM acquisition by SXC, the Catalyst acquisition by SXC, and the purchase of Catamaran by UnitedHealth Group/Optum. Through these mergers, he played a key role in successfully delivering expected business and financial synergies.
Before his success in the healthcare industry, Mike served as vice president of product management at Reuters (now Thomson Reuters), where he managed and delivered a high-speed market data platform for major global investment banks, helping usher in the age of automated trading. His work on the next-generation product generated $90M in revenue over three years.
