Janeen Ebster Davis
Adjunct Instructor of Marketing
Janeen has over 30 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry. She received her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her M.A. in Communications Studies from Governors State University. She credits both degree programs with shaping her interdisciplinary approach to her craft.
As an early pioneer in context planning, she’s helped steer in a new, now widely adopted, channel-agnostic approach to strategic planning. She’s operated seamlessly between the creative, brand, PR, digital, shopper and media agency worlds, and is passionate about helping brands cultivate relationships with consumers in this increasingly cluttered communications landscape.
McDonald’s, Toyota, P&G, SCJ and MillerCoors are just some of the clients whose market share her strategies have helped grow. Additionally, her experience working at agencies such as Edelman, DDB, FCB and Burrell as integral to her journey, demonstrating her expertise in brand building, consumer insights and impactful marketing integration.
When not working, this self-proclaimed wanderlust spends her time planning her next adventure for herself and her three favorite travel companions: her husband, her passport, and her camera. Seeing the world gives her exactly what she feels a strategist needs to be inspired: unparalleled access to culture, language, food, sights, and sounds. She also is also a RYT-200 yoga instructor, and Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant®.
