Ning Yang

Assistant Professor of Information Systems


Ning Yang is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management at Loyola University Chicago. Her research examines how digital technologies shape trust, behavior, and equity in high-stakes contexts, particularly in healthcare, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. Her work has been published in leading outlets, including International Journal of Information Management, Electronic Markets, International Journal of Medical Informatics, Journal of Medical Internet Research, and Journal of Education and Work.

Her research focuses on understanding how individuals engage with emerging technologies under conditions of uncertainty, with current projects examining telehealth assimilation, AI-mediated emotional support, and trust calibration in AI-supported decision-making. She has presented her work at major international conferences, including International Conference on Information Systems, Americas Conference on Information Systems, INFORMS Annual Meeting, and CENTERIS.

In addition to her research, she is actively engaged in academic service, including serving as a guest editor for a special issue on data mining and healthcare analytics in Information, and as a reviewer for leading journals and conferences in information systems.
