Bio
Emma Koop Liechty joined the School of Communication in November 2022. Prior to her role as Administrative Assistant, Emma was a Content Specialist at Eyedart Creative Studio in Goshen, Indiana. Before that position, she spent four years working in a variety of roles at Briya Public Charter School, in Washington, D.C., including an Assistant English as a Second Language Instructor, Communications Assistant and Events and Field Trips Coordinator. Emma graduated from Goshen College in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in fine art (graphic design concentration) and a minor in communication.
Emma is interested in getting to know people from all different walks of life from different places around the world. She spent three years living abroad in India with her family while she was in middle school and had the opportunity to study and serve in Nicaragua for a semester while at Goshen College. Learning how to be a better global citizen and working towards justice, kindness and peace is particularly important to her and part of her Mennonite heritage.
In her free time, Emma loves walking around new parts of the city, going to concerts and art museums, trying new restaurants, drinking lattes in parks, and knitting.
