Music

Music at Loyola encourages self-expression through music and provides coursework and performance opportunities for students to be able to write and perform music for a variety of media and styles. We offer advanced studies in the field of performance and composition and prepare students for graduate studies in music or work in related fields. With its diversity in course offerings and professional faculty, Music at Loyola is the place where university students can continue making music as well as receive the training necessary to pursue a professional career in the performing arts.

Chicago is a prime location for the study of music. With its orchestras, opera houses, theaters,
and vibrant cultural life, Chicago offers a vast array of resources for academic study. Chicago
affords Loyola's students access to the cutting edge music from classical to jazz to rock.
