The Global Studies program offers an interdisciplinary major and minor focused on the political, cultural, economic, and environmental dynamics of the modern world outside the United States. Students examine contemporary global issues and the ways international forces and global-U.S. interactions have shaped societies since the mid-19th century.

Global Studies minors complete Global Studies 101, two upper-division Global Studies courses, and three electives for a total of eighteen credit hours. Minors must also attain 103-level proficiency in a modern foreign language.

Global Studies majors complete Global Studies 101, two upper-division Global Studies courses, Anthropology 100, Political Science 102, and six electives for a total of thirty-three credit hours. Majors must also attain 104-level proficiency in a modern foreign language.

Global Studies majors may pursue a general curriculum or focus their studies on one of the below areas.
