One of the associate editors of  Catholic Biblical Quarterly and secretary of that editorial board. Teaching/Tutoring English as a Second Language (ESL)  to immigrants, as a volunteer at the Heartland Alliance 'school'  5715 W. Belmont. A volunteer member of the Jane Addams Senior Caucus, on two committees:   Justice for residents of Rogers Park; and  the Committee for the legal recognition of a Bill of Rights for Seniors. Visiting lecturer giving Scripture retreats from time to time.

Wendy has recently been very active in her efforts to acchieve passage of an Ordinance for Senior Housing Renovation and Relocation!  AFter 18 months of organizing, protesting, educating, and encouraging, the Ordinance was passed by the Chicago City Council on January 23, 2019.  Congratulations, Wendy!
