Atlanta: Today is the Day

Today is the day! My day started at 7am where I woke up and I added some last minute items into my suitcase and made sure my room was clean before I left. After making sure everything is set, I grabbed my two suitcases and a my backpack and rushed to meet with the rest of the crew. I don't know many of my fellow Quinlan Ramblers yet so I was quite nervous on the way to the meeting room. My anxious feelings were because I was worried how I was going to spend a whole week with people I didn't know that well. But as soon as I walked in, my worries were wiped away; I was warmly welcomed in by everyone with excitement and hope in their eyes. That's when I knew that I was going to be fine and that I will have a wonderful group guiding me every step of the way.

The day was flying by fast, and I didn't realize how much fun the journey over would be. I was able to get to know some of the Ramblers going with me, and it was interesting to hear their stories and ambitions. We discussed what we were interested in, and what we were looking forward for. The companies the Ramble selected for us are very interesting and I am so excited to get to learn more when we go on the site visits.

When we reached Atlanta, I was in awe about how pretty it is. I have never been to Atlanta, nevertheless Georgia, and I did not expect how different the setting is to Chicago. The unique combination of trees and skyscrapers made me feel happy and ecstatic for the week we have ahead! I am thrilled to see what this city has in store for us and I hope to learn more on this trip.
