3. Narrative comments

It is important for students with a potential interest in neurosurgery to become acquainted with faculty, ideally early in their medical school career. All faculty are happy to answer questions about the field and willing to serve as mentors. Students with such an interest should try to occasionally attend weekly Educational Conference and become involved with neurosurgery research. There is a two week elective offered in the third year in addition to the month-long elective in the fourth year of medical school.
