We offer the following services for current physicians-in-training:
Common Questions
Q. I received a notice for Jury Duty, how can I be excused?
A. Email a copy of your jury duty notice to ssomregrec@luc.edu, and a letter will be prepared on your behalf.
Q. I am an M1 or M2 student conducting research. How can I obtain access to Epic?
A. Email your request to VPR_Epic@luc.edu for assistance with obtaining Epic access. They will need:

- Name of individual seeking Epic access for research:
- Employee type (e.g., faculty, staff, student; if medical student, indicate which year of training (e.g., M1, M2, etc.)
- Sponsoring department (name of department your research supervisor/mentor is primarily affiliated with):
- Name of research supervisor and email:
- Is there an approved IRB protocol associated with the study? (Y/N) If so, what is the title of study and associated LU#? (Note: the LU# is a 6 digit number that typically starts with a 2)
- Do you need “read only” access? (Y/N) *Note: students typically receive “ready only” access
- Do you need access such that you will be entering information about the study into Epic? (Y/N)
- Your mentor or a member of his/her team will be able to help you find this information.
- Once you provide VPR_Epic@luc.edu with this information, they can process the approval for access, and you’ll receive the requisite training shortly thereafter.
Q. How do I obtain an enrollment verification for financial aid or military requirements?
A. Email the notice or required form to ssomregrec@luc.edu for completion.
Q. How do I ensure that I am on the waitlist for a clerkship I need for graduation?
A. If you do not have the required clerkship on your schedule, you are automatically placed on the waitlist.
Q. How do I change my student group email listserv?
A. Email your request to ssomregrec@luc.edu.
