Course Description
This course introduces students to the study of the causes and control of crime from a global perspective. The course considers: the way crime and criminal justice reflects social, political, and cultural forces; the complex intersection between social inequalities and state responses to crime; and the diffusion of criminal justice reforms based on concepts of equality and Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the structure and challenges of state responses to crime from global, historical, and interdisciplinary perspectives.Criminal Justice & Criminology (CJC): Loyola University Chicago (luc.edu)
