Course Description
This course introduces major concepts in the areas of financial and managerial accounting and develops understanding of accounting process and principles. Students will gain a deeper understanding of financial statements, accounting mechanics, accrual accounting, financial planning, variance analysis, internal controls and financial and financial analysis. Outcomes: Students will gain a deeper understanding of financial statements, accounting mechanics, accrual accounting, financial planning, variance analysis, internal controls and financial and financial analysis. The students will complete a final course project that demonstrates their ability to manage the financial data of a fictional organization.Restricted to students in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
