Course Description
An introduction to three dimensional concepts and materials, and associated techniques, in the process of articulating a personal artistic statement. Students will be guided in the fabrication of various 3-D constructions employing a wide range of building materials such as plaster, wood, clay, foam board, paper, and metals. Outcomes: Students will be able to translate two-dimensional sketches and drawings into expressive three dimensional forms; demonstrate basic sculpting techniques and creative strategies; provide critical evaluation of the creative process; and produce objects that are viewable in the round, structurally stable with masses and appendages proportionate to one another.Fine Arts (FNAR): Loyola University Chicago (luc.edu)
