Course Description
This course is an introduction to the history of the United States from the Civil War to the present. Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of how the United States became a modern industrial society, the emergence and evolution of the modern welfare state, the rise of the United States as a global power, and the impact of controversies over civil rights and liberties on American society.History (HIST): Loyola University Chicago (luc.edu)
Prerequisite/s
HIST 101, HIST 102, HIST 103, or HIST 104 for students admitted to Loyola University for Fall 2012 or later. No requirement for students with a declared major or minor in History.Course Offering
