Course DescriptionCalculus based introduction to vectors, kinematics, Newtonian mechanics of translational, rotational, and oscillatory motion, energy and momentum conservation, and thermodynamics. Student will have an understanding of analytical description of motion and application of conservation laws; develop scientific insight and proficiency in solving representative problems.
Registration for Phys 121 -117 include automatic registration for Phys 121-217 an additional mandatory discussion hour.
