Course Description
Introduction to the principles, theories, ethics, and techniques of major helping interventions including the clinical interview and use of the case history, individual and group approaches. Students will demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate different approaches to intervention in terms of their theoretical underpinnings, application to diverse problems, goals and populations, general effectiveness, and overall strengths and limitations.Prerequisite/s
PSYC 101; PSYC 331 or 338 is also recommended.Course Offering
