The WLA reading room is open by appointment only. We are available to provide remote assistance to researchers, answer reference requests, and accept donation by mail with advance notice.

Visitor Access Update: Construction will take place from Monday, August 3, 2026, through Friday, August 14, 2026, near the west entrance of Piper Hall. If you plan to visit the WLA during this period, a member of the WLA team will meet you at the south entrance of Piper Hall at the time of your appointment (see photo below). Access at this entrance is provided only by stairs. If you arrive early or need accessible entry, please call 773-508-8837.

Driving/Parking: Loyola’s Main Parking Structure is located at 1110 W. Sheridan Rd. Proceed through the main entrance of campus towards the Main Parking Structure located off Sheridan Road. Visit the Campus Transportation website for current parking fees.
Public Transportation: The Women and Leadership Archives is easily accessible by the CTA Red Line by using the Granville or Loyola stops. Visit the CTA Fare page for fare information.
Accessibility: If you require the use of the elevator to reach the third floor reading room, please contact the WLA (WLArchives@LUC.edu) before or upon your arrival. A staff member will meet you at the entrance to the elevator on the first floor.
