Tuition & Fees

Students pay the regular full-time tuition rate for Loyola. Financial aid applies. Some mandatory fees that are reguarly charged on-campus will not charged for the semester in DC.

The program itself has an additional fee of $1,000.

Housing

Students live on Capitol Hill in shared apartments arranged by Loyola.  Housing costs approximately $4,540 for the semester.  When students commit to the program, they will pay $500 to Washington Internship Students Housing (WISH).  $300 of this amount is an application fee; $200 is a refundable security deposit.  Students’ accounts will be billed for the remainder of the housing costs.

Books & Supplies

Fewer books and school supplies are required than on campus.

Travel & Food

Students are responsible for their own travel to Washington, DC, and within the city.  Students are also responsible for their own meals and recreational activities. Please note that food and recreation are more costly in Washington than in Chicago.

Students' past estimates have ranged from $45-70/week on groceries, or $300-$350 per month on groceries and eating out.
