2024-2025 Program Timeline

Info Sessions

Attendance at one info session is mandatory to apply for ISI. If you missed an info session and you're interested in applying to ISI, please email Chaplain Justin Hoch.

Application Process

Online applications must be submitted by October 24 at 11:59 PM (Spots are limited and not guaranteed). After submitting the application, applicants will sign up for group interviews. Students will be notified of their trip placement by the end of the fall semester. All ISI small groups will meet 3-4 times before their trip to build community, learn about their partner organization and immersion destination, and reflect on their experiences together.

The online application found here requires the upload of the following items. The short answer questions can be found here.

  • ISI Application PDF Form (one document that includes the following forms which must be signed):‌
    • ISI Agreement and Release
    • ISI Financial and Personal Agreement
    • ISI Health & Safety Guidelines
    • ISI Health Disclosure (2 pages)
  • Photocopy or photo image of photo page of passport (clear, unobstructed photos taken from mobile devices are okay)

Financial Commitment

Fundraising Goals:

  • 1-Week Trip: $1,000
  • 9-12-Day Trip: $1,100
  • 2-Week Trip: $1,250
  • 4-Week Trip: $1,500

Other financial considerations:

  • Vaccinations ($0-$400, depending on the trip & your health insurance)
  • Passport
  • Snacks, souvenirs, & personal purchases in country

Scholarships are available to those otherwise unable to participate. You can apply for a scholarship within the ISI application.
