Graduation Mass and Blessing of Graduates, Stritch School of Medicine
As an integral component of Graduation Weekend, students, family members, and SSOM faculty and staff from all faith traditions are warmly invited to participate in this liturgy to honor graduates and their families, give thanks for the gifts received during one’s academic studies, and ask for God’s blessing upon future pursuits. David De Marco, SJ, MD, will preside.
The Graduation Mass concludes with a special blessing of the graduates and symbolic passing of the light from physicians to the graduating students.
Mass for the SSOM Class of 2024 will be held Friday, May 10 at 4:00 pm in the Quiet Study (Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, Room 1505). Please RSVP here. To facilitate easy entry to the building the day of Mass, the Ministry team will provide a list of all attendees to the Cuneo security desk.
Please note: All non-Loyola University guests must present a photo ID to security upon entry.
