As a Post-Doc

The IRJ Postdoctoral Fellowship Initiative builds pathways for scholars to advance intersectional, interdisciplinary research centered in racial justice and driving structural change.

As a postdoctoral fellow with IRJ, you’ll have access to all our resources and networks. You’ll conduct change-making research alongside dedicated mentors, create transformational educational experiences for current and future Loyola students, and build meaningful and mutually beneficial community partnerships.

Each fellow receives the following:

  • $70K salary and benefits (2-year appointment starting in July)
  • Funding for professional development activities
  • Funding to pay mentors for their time
  • Access to graduate student research support
  • Curated leadership experiences with community partners

Our first cohort began in the summer of 2022 with three fellows, each focused on one of the following topics:

  • Economic Justice
  • Environmental Justice
  • Educational Justice
