Renata Tardioli

‌After four years experience in private legal practice and with IDLO (International Development Law Organization) in Rome, she joined the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia in 1992 as a District Electoral Supervisor. She was in charge of organizing, supervising and monitoring the United Nations sponsored elections in the troubled province of Kampong Thom. Throughout the 1990s and the early 2000s Ms. Tardioli has served in several United Nations and European Union missions world-wide providing legal assistance in electoral and democratization processes, referendum and constitutional revision as well as organizing training and leadership programmes.

Ms. Tardioli has observed and supervised elections in more than 20 countries. She participated in a number of international conferences and lectured in the training courses of the International Training Programme for Conflict Management (ITPCM) in Pisa, at the University of Roma 3 and most recently at the University of Cambridge in the UK.
