Examen - 24 2025
Transcript
Take a moment to center yourself. Find a comfortable position in your seat. Roll your shoulders back, move your neck from side to side. Close your eyes and take a moment to just be.
When you are ready, I invite you to open up your eyes and come back into the space.
This exemen is focused around the practice of journaling. If you have a journal, I encourage you to pause this recording and pull it out, if you prefer to just listen and reflect you are welcome to do so. Each prompt will have a minute pause for you to write and will then continue with the next prompt. If you need more time than that, I invite you to pause and write until you feel ready to move on.
When you are ready, begin by thinking through your past week. What were the big events, the small moments, take some time to think through all that has happened in the past seven days. I invite you to write some bullet points in your journal of all the moments that stand out.
(1 minute pause)
As you think through this past week, what moments brought you joy- who was there? What happened? Think about all the moments, big or small that were good. (Take some time to jot these down)
(1 minute pause)
Now, I invite you to think about the harder moments from this week. What were some lows, what happened that was not great. (Take some time to jot these down).
(1 minute pause)
Thinking through the good and the bad, what are you grateful for from this past week?
(30 second pause)
Now finally, I invite you to look forward look towards the next week, the next month- what is giving you hope? What are you looking forward to?
(45 second pause)
When you are ready, finish that last line in your journal, or that last thought into your head and come back into the wider space around you.
