Business Administration (BSAD) Courses

Business Administration (BSAD) courses assist students in the development of the critical skills required for successful career management and job search navigation. Courses that offer academic credit for approved internships provide both undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities for reflection on internship experiences resulting in personal and professional growth.

BSAD 220: Career Preparation

Introduction to the critical skills required for successful career and professional development. Students will learn about career development theory, develop job/internship search skills, establish a job/internship search action plan, and begin to become oriented to employer research.

BSAD 300: Business Internship-Elective Credit

Companion course for undergraduate students concurrently engaged in an internship for 1 to 3 hours of elective academic credit. Students will engage in reflection on their contributions to the workplace and the overall internship experience.

Prerequisite At least Sophomore standing; Quinlan School of Business student, or non-Quinlan student pursuing a minor in the School of Business; consent of instructor

Credits 1-3 (variable)
Mode of Instruction Online

Variable credit is based on the following minimum work hours:

  • One credit hour: 56+ work hours
  • Two credit hours: 85+ work hours
  • Three credit hours: 120+ work hours

BSAD 300 Business Internship Application  →

BSAD 351: Business Internship-Engaged Learning

Challenges students to analyze the theory and practices that impact the ethics of leading, interpersonal and organizational dynamics, and competent workplace contributions required for success. Internship course also fulfills the Core Engaged Learning requirement.

Prerequisite At least Sophomore standing; Quinlan School of Business major; “C-“or better in BSAD 220; consent of instructor

BSAD 501: Curriculum Practical Training

Companion course for any Quinlan graduate-level business student concurrently engaged in an internship for 1 to 3 hours of elective academic credit. Students will engage in reflection on their contributions to the workplace and the overall employment experience.
