Whether it's your first time drinking or not, it is always a good idea to plan ahead for a night when alcohol may be involved. What are your limits without getting drunk? How will you and your friends get home safely? If you do choose to drink, follow these quick tips.

Alcoholedu and SAPU courses for incoming students
All incoming students are required to complete online classes on alcohol prevention and sexual assault prevention. These courses are due March 3rd. -

Cannabis Awareness Week Recap
Loyola's Safety Net coalition, which is a group composed of Loyola staff, students, and community organizations held a three day tabling event in February 2022 focused on cannabis policy and risk reduction. Staff and student volunteers educated students on Loyola's cannabis policies and also clear up some misconceptions around cannabis use and safety. We gave away 90 basil plants and had many great conversations with students. -
Smoking Cessation Resources for students
Students who are interested in changing their smoking behaviors can schedule a confidential appointment with a Health Educator to make a plan. -
Poster Campaign: Pandemic Lessons
In Fall 2021, the Wellness Center and Safety Net created a new communication campaign encouraging students to make more intentional and safer choices around alcohol and other drug use. These posters feature some popular characters from tv and movies. -
Cannabis Legalization in Illinois
As of 1/1/20, recreational cannabis use is now legal in Illinois for people over 21. However, cannabis use and possession is still illegal at Loyola due to federal law, and students of any age are not permitted to use marijuana products.
