Introduction to Project Management

Are you curious about how to plan, organize, and complete projects effectively? Whether you're working on a school project, planning an event, or leading a workplace initiative, project management tools and techniques can set you up for success.

In this engaging 4-hour workshop, you’ll learn the foundational principles of project management through hands-on activities, group discussions, and practical tools. You will learn best practices for leading change and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Designed for anyone with little to no experience in project management, this session will provide you with the skills to approach any project with confidence and clarity.

What You'll Learn

  • You will learn how to create an abbreviated project charter and how to avoid scope creep.
  • You will learn how to identify common project risks.
  • You will learn how to create a stakeholder matrix.
  • You will learn best practices for communication with different project stakeholders.
  • You will learn how to obtain additional information on commonly used project management tools.

Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will earn a "Introduction to Project Management" digital Credly badge.

Who Should Register

This workshop is for anyone interested in project management in any setting (formal or informal). It is designed to expose you to project management basics and to give you hands on experience with a sample of project management tools and techniques.

Participants will benefit from a supportive and hands-on environment. No prior experience is needed.
