Annette R. Waznonis, PhD, RN

Director of Simulation Curriculum and Research

Dr. Waznonis has a clinical background in post-anesthesia care and emergency room nursing. Since 2010, she has taught in a variety of nursing programs and settings, including simulation, with debriefing and pre-briefing as areas of expertise. Her research has been widely disseminated and is cited in the National League for Nursing’s Vision Statement, Debriefing Across the Curriculum. In 2019, Dr. Waznonis became the director of simulation curriculum and research. She serves professionals using simulation in education, practice, and research within healthcare and other disciplines. Dr. Waznonis’s work focuses on quality improvement, professional development, simulation design, and curriculum integration.
