| Description: |
Students will be involved with all aspects of transplant patient care to include the emergency department, intensive care unit, operating room and outpatient clinics. Objective: Students will learn basic principles of immunology and pharmacology as they apply to the pre- and post-operative care of transplant patients. Planned Learning Activities: Students are expected to actively participate in the care of liver and kidney transplant patients and attend grand rounds in the department of surgery. |
| Method of Evaluation: | Students will be evaluated based on a review of their clinical performance on daily rounds, chart work and technical proficiency. |
