Undecided
Still not sure what you want to study? No problem!
Undecided? You're in the right place.
You don't need to have it all figured out to get started.
Not sure what you want to major in? You're not alone. Last year ### students applied as undecided at Loyola. Choosing a major is an important decision, so it's okay to take your time to explore your interests, discover new passions, and figure out what you might want to do after you graduate.
Try different subjects.
With more than 75 undergraduate majors to choose from, there's no shortage of possibilities at Loyola. And thanks to our Core Curriculum, you'll have opportunities to explore a wide range of subjects while building a strong academic foundation.
From philosophy and literature to science and the social sciences, Core courses introduce you to new perspectives, ideas, and disciplines. You might discover an interest you never knew you had or find an unexpected connection between subjects you already love.
The best part? You'll be making progress toward your degree while exploring your options.
Get the support you need.
You're not alone in your journey to finding the right major. At Loyola, you'll have access to academic advisors, faculty mentors, success coaches, and career development resources to help you navigate your options and make informed, confident decisions.
Change your major later if you're not feeling it!
Already have a major in mind? That's great! Still deciding? That's great, too.
Your interests and goals may evolve as you learn and grow, and that's a natural part of the college experience. Even after you declare a major, you'll have opportunities to explore other academic paths and change direction if you discover something that's a better fit. Your academic advisor will help you navigate your options and opportunities.

Accelerated Master’s Pathway
Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s Pathway programs (AMPs) allow eligible, full-time students to complete both an undergraduate and graduate degree in just five years. These programs provide a significant cost savings to students interested in accelerating their path to an advanced degree. Finishing both programs in five years, including both undergraduate and graduate courses during your senior year, equates to a lower overall cost than if both programs were completed separately.
Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's students can also take advantage of the Returning Rambler Scholarship for eligible programs, offering a 25 percent tuition discount for graduate studies.
