Financial Aid

Applying for Financial Aid

Arrupe College is designed to allow students to earn an associate's degree with little or no debt. In order to take advantage of available financial aid resources, all Arrupe College applicants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA can be completed online. Please use Loyola University Chicago's school code (001710) when filing the FAFSA.

If you are unable to file the FAFSA, please contact us.

Types of aid

Once you complete the FAFSA, you may be eligible for several types of aid at Arrupe College:

Scholarships

Most admitted students are awarded the $2,500 Arrupe Scholarship. Other scholarships from corporations, clubs, or professional organizations are an important addition to any financial aid package.

Grants

Grants are a form of need-based financial assistance that do not need to be paid back. Grants come in varying amounts from universities and charitable organizations, as well as federal, state, and local governments.

Work-study

Federal work-study allows eligible students to earn up to $2,000 annually through campus or community-based employment. Students typically work 10-12 hours per week, and these funds are paid directly to the student.

Loans

Once you've completed the FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will provide you with information on the Federal Stafford Loan program and other loan opportunities, if necessary. Talk with your financial aid advisor about these options.

Payment Plans

Loyola offers the iPlan for students and families who choose to spread their payments for any remaining costs over the course of the year.

Verification Forms

After completing your FAFSA application, certain students will need to complete verification forms which can be found on Loyola’s Financial Aid Office.
