High School: Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
Involvements: Treasurer for Student Government of Arrupe College of Loyola and Vice President for Arrupe Alliance
Hello! My name is Jonathan Grisalez, and I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.
How I chose my degree:
I'm pursuing Psychology to better understand myself and others and help in any way possible.
What has been your most challenging class and how did it change you?
The most challenging class was Biology and it changed how I should study concepts and take the time to understand and apply it to my assignments, labs, and exams.
What professor should a new student absolutely take a class with and why? Professor Strang, to learn more about the history and importance of art and understand what art is and means, while the professor is there to help you understand and be patient.
Where is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Cafeteria as you will meet and see new people all the time. Having a place to belong and seeing the community engaged with each other.
What is a moment where you felt like you belonged at Arrupe?
The moment that makes me feel like I belong at Arrupe is whenever someone says hi and smiles, wanting to start a conversation and seeing how I am doing so far, growing as a student and person in life.
What advice do you have for the incoming class?
Whatever obligations and priorities that make up the person you are now, focus on that while giving it the best you can and putting yourself out there!
