Career Services

Career Resources

Career Services provides students an opportunity to work one-on-one with professional counselors who help with career exploration and the job search process. If you want to learn more about jobs for people with associate's degrees, the staff at Career Services can help. They partner with Chicago-area employers to help them recruit Arrupe students looking for career, experiential, and employment opportunities.

To access Handshake, Loyola University Chicago's web-based career management system, visit LUC.edu/handshake. Handshake can be used to search for and apply to jobs, learn about career-related events taking place on campus, and schedule appointments with Career Services staff. Additionally, a wide variety of career-related information and resources can be found online at LUC.edu/career.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Catherine Archer, LCPC from Career Services works with students on career exploration and discernment, as well as interview preparation and feedback on job application materials (resumes, cover letters, etc.).

Leah Brunk from Career Services works with students once they are ready to begin searching for employment and supports them during the job search process.

Students can make appointments with Catherine and/or Leah using Handshake or by calling 773.508.7716. It is recommended that students meet with Catherine first to prepare materials for their job search, prior to meeting with Leah. Catherine and Leah’s offices are located in Schreiber Center Suite 115, across the street from Maguire Hall.
