Katie Baltensperger

Leadership Gifts Officer, Field Museum

Katie Baltensperger is the Leadership Gifts Officer at the Field Museum. A fundraising professional with more than a decade of experience in arts, education, social justice, and human services, Baltensperger specializes in strategic donor engagement, trustee recruitment and development, soliciting 6- and 7-figure gifts, and collaborative program implementation. Prior to joining the Field, she was Director of Development at The Chicago Academy for the Arts, leading annual giving and implementing an alumni relations program. Previously, she served as the Development Director at Chicago housing advocacy organization La Casa Norte, and in fundraising at the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. She volunteers on the Board of Directors of Idea Box Integrated Arts, a non-profit partnering with classroom teachers to implement arts programming. Baltensperger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of Michigan. In her free time she enjoys supporting the arts, spending time with her family, introducing undergraduates to grant writing basics, and exploring the world close to home and far afield.
