With more than two decades of experience in fundraising, non-profit management, and government relations, Carole Wood provides the vision and oversees the execution of National Louis University’s fundraising, communications, alumni relations, and governmental relations operations. Additionally, Carole chairs the university DEI Council, which seeks to achieve a diverse and inclusive community where every person is given the opportunity to be heard, respected, valued, and welcomed.

Before her current role, Carole served as Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement at City Colleges of Chicago, where she led a team of 60 overseeing fundraising, communications, marketing, recruitment, and government affairs.  From 2005-2010, Carole served as Director of Community Relations and Local School Council Relations for Chicago Public Schools, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership in policy, budgetary, communications and external affairs decision making. Previously, Carole has held positions of increasing responsibility at Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and the Chicago Community Trust.

Carole is a Doctoral candidate at National Louis University, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College, and an M.A .degree from Loyola University Chicago.  She has also received certificates in advanced philanthropy, Business Administration, and Sports/Events Management.
