Loyola recognized for commitment to social impact

For the #MillionsofChangemakers campaign, Loyola committed to the creation of the Baumhart Scholars MBA, a highly selective program for purpose-driven professionals.

Loyola University Chicago is one of 67 institutions and individuals globally to be recognized by the #MillionsofChangemakers 2019 campaign.

The campaign is a global call for commitments from colleges, universities, and higher education innovators to activate and support changemakers. It is led by Ashoka U, an international organization that seeks to harness the power of universities to accelerate social impact.

Committing to purpose-driven business

For the #MillionsofChangemakers campaign, Loyola committed to the creation of the Baumhart Scholars MBA, a highly selective program within the Quinlan School of Business that equips purpose-driven professionals with the skills, values, and networks to do well and do good in their careers.

The 20-month, cohort-based MBA program is specially designed for young leaders who seek to drive their careers and their social impact forward simultaneously.

“With this commitment, Loyola University Chicago is joining Ashoka U’s global community of higher education innovators who are collectively activating and equipping the changemakers the world needs,” says Jessica Lax, Ashoka U’s growth and partnerships director. “We're thrilled to celebrate Loyola’s commitment and look forward to sharing it with others through this campaign.”
