John Edelman Scholarships to support sustainability and responsibility in business

The John Edelman Scholarships seek to prepare the next generation of business executives to lead for sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Thanks to a gift from John Edelman and Suzanne Krohn, emerging leaders working on issues related to sustainability and corporate responsibility will now be eligible for up to $30,000 in total scholarship support toward the Baumhart Scholars MBA.

“We are thrilled to support the Baumhart Scholars program through this gift,” said Edelman, who serves as the managing director of global engagement and corporate responsibility at Edelman, a global communications firm.

“Sustainability and corporate social responsibility is now mission critical for all businesses and we want to help train the next generation of business executives who will lead these organizations.”

Equipping business leaders to marry profit and purpose

The Baumhart Scholars MBA is a highly selective program within Loyola's Quinlan School of Business that equips purpose-driven professionals with the skills, values, and networks to do well and do good in their careers. The 20-month, cohort-based MBA program is designed for emerging leaders of all sectors who seek to drive their careers and their social impact forward simultaneously.

With this gift, emerging leaders in sustainability and corporate responsibility will now be eligible for up to $10,000 in Edelman Scholarship support, in addition to the existing $20,000 Quinlan Scholarship for all Baumhart Scholars.

“This is a thrilling gift that will truly energize business for a better world” said Seth Green, founding director of the Baumhart Center. “Business is increasingly leading the way in addressing major global challenges from climate change to poverty. These scholarships will support the game-changing leaders behind this movement.”
