Business and Society Impact Program
The Business and Society Impact Program (BSIP) is an online learning experience that is designed for leaders seeking to deepen their expertise at the intersection of profit and purpose.
Over eight weeks, BSIP will offer snapshot courses in six areas that are critical to creating shared value for business and society: corporate social responsibility, diversity and inclusion, impact investing, ESG, social enterprise, and strategies for a more sustainable world. The program will also examine broader questions around enlightened capitalism and building an economy that serves all.
Who should apply
The program is seeking applicants from a wide array of backgrounds and professional experiences, including mid-career professionals, rising leaders, and retired executives. Indeed, a key goal for the small group discussions is to ensure participants bring perspectives from diverse career stages, industries, and life experiences.
Program structure
The eight-week program takes place online from June 22 to August 16, 2020 and has three weekly components:
- An interactive lecture each Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. CDT. (Note: Recordings of the lectures will be available for download throughout the week.)
- A 50-minute, small group discussion weekly that is led by an expert facilitator. These small group discussions are inspired by the “tutorial system” of the University of Oxford and aim to offer an intimate setting for participants to explore their ideas alongside a group of their peers. (Note: Multiple times will be offered for small groups to accommodate all schedules.)
- Assigned readings and podcasts (approximately 2.5 hours per week) that can be completed at participants’ convenience.
