 Marian's strong writing and verbal communication skills allowed her to participate in the early days of web 2.0 and mobile 2.0. Her foray began when she joined one of the first online brokerage firms. This prompted her to take a C++ class at Purdue University Calumet and do an internship at the US District Court in Chicago where she redesigned the Human Resources webpage. From there, she went to work in digital and mobile media and marketing and worked with Google analytics as data analytics came into its own.

 Over her career, Marian worked with tech startups, ran her own online media company, built and designed several websites, and worked in the marketing research, film and television production, politics, government, advertising, and financial industries.

Marian joined the Computer Science department at Loyola University Chicago in the fall 2020. Marian received her MBA from Indiana University Northwest and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
