School Psychology

Loyola's school psychology programs are committed to preparing future school psychologists in an atmosphere of collaboration with fellow students, faculty and the community. Classes are taught in an integrated manner. The goal of fostering a sense of collaboration in providing services and support to children, parents and educators is enhanced by classes which integrate students from different areas. Students come together from diverse areas such as school psychology, school counseling, school social work, general education and special education. The community of learners and researchers that is created encourages a scientist-practitioner model that helps students learn to bridge the gap between research and practice in the real world. Ethics and values are an integral part of the program and social justice issues are center stage.
