Congratulations to the winner of the 2020 Stanley Clayes Memorial Essay Competition!

The Committee on Graduate Programs in English is pleased to announce the outcome of the 2020 Stanley Clayes Memorial Essay Competition.

Jack O’Briant was awarded first place for his essay, “Fluid Faiths: Reading Religion Relationally in Asian American Literature,” written for ENGL 485: Literatures of the New U.S. Immigration with Dr. Long Le-Khac.

A reception will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 4:00 PM. Please request access to the meeting information if you would like to attend.
