Event Consent and Disclosures
By registering for a Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center (“FBC”) event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following:
Photography / Recording Release
FBC events may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, or otherwise recorded. By attending, you grant Loyola University Chicago permission to record your name, likeness, image, voice, and/or statements and to use those materials for lawful FBC and University purposes (including marketing, communications, educational, and archival use) in any media, without compensation. You release Loyola University Chicago and its affiliates, representatives, and agents from claims related to the capture or use of these recordings (including privacy/publicity-related claims), to the extent permitted by law.
Non-Solicitation and Non-Compete (Event Conduct)
FBC events are designed for learning and community-building—not sales or recruiting. You agree that you will not use the event to:
- solicit business or services from attendees, speakers, or sponsors (including pitching, distributing promotional materials without permission, or collecting contacts for unsolicited outreach), or
- recruit, poach, or otherwise pursue competitive hiring/employment activities involving attendees, speakers, sponsors, or their employees/representatives during the event.
General networking and exchanging contact information by mutual interest is welcome, provided it remains respectful and not sales- or recruitment-driven. FBC reserves the right to address violations at its discretion, including removal from the event (without refund, if applicable) and/or restrictions on future participation.
