Mission and Vision

Three people are outdoors engaged in conversation. An older man is shaking hands with a younger man, both smiling. A woman stands nearby, also smiling. The background includes greenery, a brick building, and large windows.

Mission

As an integral part of the Quinlan School of Business, our mission is to support and help family businesses navigate complex generational transitions, strengthening both their family and business. We believe that a community of family businesses learning together contributes to the sustainability of families, businesses, and society.

Vision

To be the premier resource and learning community for multigenerational, mid- to large-sized family businesses.

Why Loyola

At the Family Business Center, we have been supporting families in business since the early 1990’s and continue to share best practices as they evolve. We work with family businesses who have a desire to learn from others and who share our belief that sustaining family businesses contributes to the stability of the economy and communities.

We believe in sharing what works and that peer learning in confidential forums is best. Going it alone might be faster, but going together makes for a deeper, richer, and more transformative experience.
