Christopher Galloway, DNP, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track at Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. He earned his BSN from the University of St. Francis (2008), his MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner (2015) and his DNP in Urban Health (2019) from Resurrection University, and his post master's PMHNP certificate from Oak Point University (2022). He holds dual national certification as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is a certified Master Online Teacher.
Before joining Loyola he was Director of Graduate Nursing Programs at Lewis University and Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs in the College of Nursing at Oak Point University, where he chaired the CCNE reaccreditation committee that earned a ten year term. He served in the United States Army Nurse Corps from 2011 to 2020, including as Executive Officer of a Combat Support Hospital. In 2017, he founded Elemental Care Health and Wellness Center in Crest Hill, Illinois, one of the first nurse practitioner owned primary care and behavioral health practices in the state, where he continues to practice and precept students. He was named Nurse of the Year by the American Nurses Association Illinois in 2019.
