Student Nurses Association of Illinois at Loyola (SNAI-L)

SNAI-L is a pre professional organization and a constituent of the National Student Nurses Association. SNAI-L membership is open to all nursing students at Loyola University Chicago. The mission of SNAI-L is to facilitate promotion and participation in community affairs and activities concerning improved health care and the resolution of related social issues. SNAI-L also addresses professional issues, remains active in community service, and provides opportunities for attendance at the state (SNAI) and national (NSNA) conventions. Finally, SNAI-L plans and implements programs and activities at Loyola with the goal of building community among nursing students and the student body at Loyola.

Graduate Student Nurses Association (GSNA)

GSNA provides a focus for student-sponsored activities within the graduate programs in nursing. Officers are elected by the students for each academic year. A faculty advisor assists the students in coordinating their activities with the School of Nursing and the University. The GSNA is an important source of student information. All graduate students are strongly encouraged to join this organization.

Alpha Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau

Loyola Nursing is home to the Alpha Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the exclusive national honor society for nursing. Membership is open to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate excellence in their nursing programs, including superior academic and personal records. Nursing Student Council

Nursing Student Council (NSC) is available to four-year students and aims to cultivate student nurse leaders by providing opportunities to plan and facilitate events for students, participate in leadership retreats and workshops, and interact with the School of Nursing faculty, staff, and administration.

Each class has six positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations, and Class Representative with their own duties and responsibilities. There is also an executive board comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations.
